On August 30, 2011, the Board approved the addition of one instructional day to the 2011/2012 student calendar. The revised calendar reduces furlough days from four to three, providing Moreland students with more instructional time in the classroom.  View the revised calendar here.   It incorporates the following changes:

• Thursday, November 10 now a student instructional day;
• November 21 and November 22 remain furlough days – no school;
• June 15 is still the last day of school

En Agosto 30, 2011, La Mesa Directiva Escolar de Moreland apro vo la adicion de un dia instruccional del calendario escolar 2011/2012.  El calendario escolar reduce los dia sin paga de cuatro a tres, proviendo a los estudiantes de Moreland con mas tiempo instruccional en la salon.  El calendario revisado incorpora lo siguiente:

• Jueves, Noviembre 10 ahora es dia instruccional
• Noviembre 21 y Noviembre 22 continuan con dias de no pago-escuela

Anderson will be having a kindergarten tour for parents only on Thursday, February 16th at 8:30.  This tour is for incoming kindergarten parents who have children that will enter kindergarten next school year, 2012-2013.  We'll start with a presentation in the library with a general overview of the school, current curriculum, and programs.  After the brief presentation, parents will have the opportunity to tour the kindergarten classrooms.

Anderson tundra su tour de kindergarten solo para padres el jueves, Febrero 16 a las 8:30.  Este tour es para padres de nuevos estudiantes que entraran al kindergarten el proximo ano escolar, 2012-2013.  Comenzaremos con una presentacion en la biblioteca con una informacion de la escuela, curriculum y plan actuales.  Despues de una corte presentacion padres tendran la oportunidad de visitar los salones de kindergarten.

US Soccer Coaching is returning to Anderson! The soccer sessions will be Tuesdays after school from 2:40-3:40.  The program begins on Tuesday, January 17th and ends on February 14th.  This after school soccer club is for students in 1st-5th grade and the cost is $50.  You can register online at www.ussportscoaching.com/programs or complete the form that was sent home.  Please stop by the office for an extra form.
