2015-16 Anderson Bell Schedule and Important Dates

Welcome to Anderson School!

Ebooks are Coming to Moreland

Ebooks are digital versions of print books from a broad range of subject areas and topics. Ebook databases will allow an unlimited number of users to access nonfiction and fiction materials on their computer to supplement our library collection.  Moreland is excited to announce that beginning February 1st through March 31st, Moreland School District students, staff, and families will have an opportunity to pilot ebook databases.  You can access the databases on any device with internet access.

In order to ensure a successful trial, we are encouraging all students, staff and families to participate in exploring these materials during February and March. You will find access to these databases on the Anderson website under the newly added library tab at the top of our home page. After you use any of these databases, please provide your feedback by completing the survey that is located next to the database links. We are looking forward to offering this new service and appreciate your support and input.

Traffic Safety Plea from the Superintendent

I am sure everyone in our district has noticed the increasing traffic in and around the Moreland School

District.  Some of our neighboring districts and schools have experienced terrible traffic tragedies.

Please help us keep all our children safe by following the traffic rules around the schools and slowing

down!  We will be working with the City of San Jose's Project Passion Program and Walk and Roll

Program to evaluate our traffic flow around the schools.  However, even with the best system in place,

each driver is responsible for the speed of their vehicle and the observance of traffic safety around

schools.  Help us to keep all our children safe.

District Strategic Plan and Parcel Tax

District Strategic Plan Renewal

Superintendent, Mary Kay Going, looks forward to meeting and speaking with the staff of Anderson on October 22.  With the renewal of the Strategic Plan upon us, your feedback and insight is critical as we begin engagement for this process and how it would tie in with a possible renewal of our parcel tax.  If you have any questions you would like specifically addressed at this meeting, please email the Superintendent's Office at tdelacruz@moreland.org.

Parcel Tax Polling Coming Soon

The 2009 Moreland School District Parcel Tax will be expiring in 2017.  The Moreland Board of Trustees has initiated a study of community interest in a possible renewal of this parcel tax.  The first layer of interest gathering will begin with a telephone poll conducted by EMC Research. In the next few weeks you or a friend or neighbor may get a call from EMC Research asking about our local schools.   This poll is taking place to achieve two goals: (a) to gather community-wide feedback for our strategic plan and (b) to survey voters about their feelings on extending or augmenting Moreland School District's existing parcel tax measure.  The results of this research will help our planning efforts tremendously.   If you have any questions, or would like further information, please email the Superintendent’s Office at tdelacruz@moreland.org.
